Certificate in Elementary Mathematics Teacher Leadership

Attend an Indy-area Information Session
Register to attend a 5-7 p.m. May 20 information session at the Ball State Indianapolis Center, 50 S. Meridian St., to learn more about this program.

If you’re an active teacher who has an elementary, middle school, or special education teaching license—and frequently wish you were in a leadership position—the certificate in elementary mathematics teacher leadership is a possibility to consider.

This five-course certificate provides the additional depth of mathematics content and pedagogical knowledge needed to make you a successful math teacher and educator-leader. With certificate courses, you can take what you learned into your classroom the next day.

We offer this program based on the rationale from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, which considers mathematics school and district leaders essential to improving mathematics instruction and achievement.

What’s more, the five courses can be applied to one of two options in our master of arts in mathematics education:

We also offer a graduate certificate in middle school mathematics education.

Mode of Delivery
This program is offered all online, on our main campus in Muncie, Indiana, or on-site at Ball State centers in the greater Indianapolis area. Or, courses can be taken via a blend of online or on-site courses.
