Certificate in Response to Intervention

Our certificate in response to intervention (RTI), also known as response to instruction, is designed to provide teachers, school psychologists, and behavioral consultants with the ability to provide early, effective assistance to children who are having difficulty learning.

You will learn how to lessen the chance of academic failure through early intervention, skills for frequent progress measurement, and intensive, research-based instructional interventions for children who are having academic difficulties.

Our 15-hour, online certificate stands as a specialized credential on its own, or can be used toward a master's degree in special education.

You will be learning these skills from a university with a national reputation as a leader in educator preparation. Ball State is accredited by the following:

  • National Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (NCATE)
  • North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools
  • Indiana Teacher Training and Licensing Commission
