Courses You Will Take

Ball State's gifted and talented license/certificate includes a four-course sequence:

  • EDPS 520 Introduction to the Gifted and Talented Student (3 credit hours)
  • EDPS 621 Identification and Evaluation of Gifted and Talented Students (3 credit hours)
  • EDPS 625 Models and Strategies for Gifted Education (3 credit hours)
  • EDPS 611 Development of Creative Thinking (3 credit hours)
    or EDPS 623 The Social and Emotional Development of Gifted Students (3 credit hours)

The above courses may also be used toward a master's degree in educational psychology. Learn more about how to apply and our admission requirements today!

If you take two courses per semester, you can finish in about nine months.
