Mild Interventions License

For students who require only mild interventions, this focus area supports teachers who work with students who require only mild interventions of their developmental and mild behavior disorders.

You are required to get licensure evaluation from Ball State’s Office of Teacher Education Services before starting the program.

Courses required for the mild interventions license are:

  • SPCE 609: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours) or SPCE 634: Educating Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 686: Introduction: Mild Interventions (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 687: Educational Assessment: Mild Interventions (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 688: Methods of Mild Intervention (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 600: Education of Exceptional Children (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 697: Practicum: Mild Interventions (1-9)
  • SPCE 632: Introduction to Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (Summer only) (3 credit hours) or SPCE 680: Introduction to Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (3 credit hours)
