If you work as an administrator, manager, or educator in the field of training, planning, health care, nonprofit, or higher education, a master of arts in adult and community education is a desired credential in this growing job market.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in adult education management and teaching are expected to grow between 15-18 percent through 2018. Average salaries in 2010 numbers range from $46,530 for adult education instructors to $83,710 for postsecondary administrators in adult and community education roles.

The field is growing because organizations are prioritizing training programs in the workplace to help increase employees' professional development and retention. Plus, there is increased needs for adult and community educators in corporations and community organizations.

Our program will help you learn enhanced concepts and competencies in designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for adults in a variety of public and private educational settings. The program provides you with an understanding of how educational, social, political, and economic systems interface with communities. The program develops individuals who are committed to fostering learning as a lifelong process and in creating learning organizations and societies.

Mode of Delivery
Depending on the courses you take, the program can be taken all online or as a blend of online and live, on-site courses. Some of our classes are offered on our main campus in Muncie, Indiana, or in the Greater Indianapolis area.
