If you’re in the early years of your math teaching career and thinking about earning a master’s degree, you’re probably looking for a program that will not interfere with your classroom routine. Moving miles to a university campus may be out of the question. 

While Ball State University offers a master of arts in mathematics education degree that you can earn on our campus in Muncie, Indiana, and the Greater Indianapolis area, you have the option of pursuing the same degree with the same on-campus Ball State professors who also teach online.

Depending on the teaching license you hold and your experience, you can choose one of three master of arts in mathematics education options:

Mode of Delivery
Courses for this program are offered online, on our main campus in Muncie, and at Ball State centers in the Greater Indianapolis area. You can also take a blend of these courses. Math education programs—particularly those in elementary education math—are few and far between in an online classroom.
