Accelerated Track

Our accelerated track allows you to finish your degree program in less than 18 months if you stay on the academic track and schedule given to you when you start your program.

Below are two examples of an accelerated track if you started in the summer. For details on how the accelerated track relates to you, contact the Program Advisor Bonnie Krupa

PLAN 1: All 16-week courses, except summer when courses are 5 or 10 weeks

Fall 1:

  • SPCE 609: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 680: Introduction to Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 682: Interventions and Treatments for Person with Autism (3 credit hours)

Spring:

  • SPCE 611: Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 610: Behavioral Consultation (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 683: Practicum in Autism (3 credit hours)

Summer:

  • SPCE 638: Practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 636: Research in Special Education (3 credit hours)

Fall 2:

  • SPCE 638: Practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)
  • SPCE 619: Professional Issues in Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)

 


 

PLAN 2: A mix of 5-, 8- and 16-week courses

Fall 1: First 8 Weeks

  • SPCE 609: Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours)

Fall 1: Second 8 Weeks

Summer: Mix of course lengths

  • SPCE 638: Practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis (3 credit hours) - 10-week course
  • SPCE 636: Research in Special Education (3 credit hours) - 5-week course

Fall 2: 16-week course
