Required Courses

Students with strong interest in astronomy or having astronomy-related career aspirations are encouraged to complete the astronomy minor.

The minor includes:

  • a year of calculus
  • a year of calculus-based physics
  • a two-semester Introduction to astronomy and astrophysics course sequence

The program provides a strong background in the basic physics and astronomy principles necessary for success in the field.
