Undergrad and Grad Research Opportunities
There are several areas for our undergraduate and graduate students to research.
Our professors are involved in various research projects, which allows you to be well-trained in different areas of physics.
Your research may include:
- nuclear physics
- condensed matter
- statistical and computational physics
- applied electronics
- computer applications
- medical physics
On the graduate level, we’ve had students:
- study quantum transport in mesoscopic systems, particularly in devices fabricated in semiconductor nanostructures and quantum-dot cellular automata
- team with the Fermi National Laboratory near Chicago to determine the fundamental quark-gluon "motion"
