There are several areas for our undergraduate and graduate students to research. Our professors
are involved in various research projects, which allows you to be well-trained in different areas of physics.
Your research may include:
- nuclear physics
- condensed matter
- statistical and computational physics
- applied electronics
- computer applications
- medical physics
On the graduate level, we’ve had students:
- study quantum transport in mesoscopic systems, particularly in devices fabricated in semiconductor nanostructures and quantum-dot cellular automata
- team with the Fermi National Laboratory near Chicago to determine the fundamental quark-gluon "motion"
