Admission Requirements

If you are applying for the Master of Arts or Master of Public Administration, you must:

• have a bachelor’s degree GPA of at least 2.8 on 4.0
• meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School 
• submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
• provide two letters of recommendation for the MPA and MPA CJC only
  
• be accepted by the Department of Political Science.

If you are seeking admission to the Master of Public Administration program with a concentration in criminal justice and criminology you must also be accepted by the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology.

If your undergraduate major was not political science or a closely related subject, you may be required to complete undergraduate courses to acquire background knowledge. Credit for these courses does not apply to degree requirements.
