The MA degree program in political science requires a minimum of thirty credit hours with at least fifteen of those hours completed in political science courses at the 600 level.
These required courses must included Research Methods in Political Science (POLS 625),at least three additional 600 level courses in at least two subfields of the discipline of your choice, and be approved by your advisor. Subfields include American politics, comparative politics/international relations, and public policy/administration.
In addition, you must meet the university research and writing requirement in one of four ways:
- a thesis for (6 credit hours)
- a research paper for (3 credit hours)
- a creative project (3 or 6 credit hours)
- satisfactory completion of POLS 626 Research Seminar.
