Master of Public Administration

If you already have a bachelor’s degree and want to prepare for an administrative or research career in public management, then a master of public administration (MPA) could be the right choice for you.

The flexibility of our program allows you to tailor an interdisciplinary curriculum to your goals. If you attend full time, you can complete the MPA program in four semesters or two academic years. To make it more convenient, evening classes are offered in addition to weekday classes.

After completing the program, you will have a theoretical understanding and practical awareness of public policy and of the principles of management and administration in the public sector. The program blends the study of politics and administration with the techniques of modern management.

If you want to focus on criminal justice, consider our MPA with a criminal justice concentration

New concentrations are under development for Fall 2012:

  • Community and Economic Development
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Emergency Management and Homeland Security
