The Social Science Research Center (SSRC) is an interdisciplinary research program sponsored by the College of Health and the Department of Social Work at Ball State University. Established in 1981, the SSRC provides support to faculty and staff, as well as public and private organizations for the development and completion of externally-funded social science research and service projects. The center also serves as a resource center for program development by providing consultation, research support, and professional services in collaboration with local, state, and federal human service communities.

The center is located in the North Quad, room 245.

As a social work major, you will have some contact with the center. In the past, staff members have made presentations about their current research projects in the community, showing examples of how social work research enhances social work practice.
