William Jennings Casey Transition to Teaching Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of the William Jennings Casey Scholarship is to provide ongoing support of the activities related to students who enroll in the Transition to Teaching Program. The scholarship was established in the memory of William Casey, a Ball State University graduate in 1953, whose career in education spanned forty-eight years.

Eligibility: Students must demonstrate financial need as evidenced with the BSU Financial Aid Office and be enrolled in the elementary education Transition to Teaching Program.

Deadline: Acceptance Committee will announce the application submission period annually.

Award: $500 scholarship to be awarded to one student each in the fall and spring semester.
