Early Childhood Special Education

Students who major in early childhood special education work with infants and toddlers who require mild  interventions. Graduates work with young children with disabilities in preschool programs, developmental centers, and agency-based programs.

To develop your skills, you will take methods and teaching courses as well as take part in intensive field experiences. During your last semester, you will complete your student teaching experience at multiple sites to gain varied experience.

The major requires 120 credit hours for graduation and leads to a license in mild interventions from birth through the elementary school level.
