Educational Studies
Majors in the Department of Educational Studies prepare you to be licensed to teach subjects like music, physical education, and art in all grades and to teach academic subjects math, science, and English in middle/junior high and high schools. You will take courses in your chosen subject area as well as courses in education and classroom management. Majors focusing on the use of technology in education are also offered.

Elementary Education
Our elementary education programs prepare you to be a licensed teacher qualified to work in child care centers, preschools, and elementary schools. You will have many opportunities for classroom experiences throughout the program at Burris Laboratory School, a national model for primary and secondary education since its founding in 1929, and at other local schools.
