Students may also choose to student teach in Germany. Through an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense Schools, Ball State University elementary and secondary education majors may consider student teaching on a United States Air Force base in Ramstein, Germany. For additional information about student teaching in Germany, see our FAQ pages.

Currently, student teachers are assigned to Ramstein Elementary, Intermediate, Middle or High School, part of DoDDS-Europe Kaiserslautern District.

International Programs give students the opportunity to explore intercultural issues outside the usual campus setting.  All schools are located on a United States Air Force base located in the Rhine and Mosul Valley region. Although the schools are located in Germany, student teachers teach American children who are the dependents of military and civilian personnel stationed abroad.
