Elementary Education

Elementary Education prepares candidates to teach all basic developmental levels and school subjects from pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. Elementary candidates (K-6) complete work in a self-selected concentration area to supplement their knowledge and skill base, whereas early childhood candidates focus on early childhood issues. The introductory course for the programs is EDEL 100 in which students complete 50 hours of community service and begin portfolio development with Apple laptops.
