Students are required to pass the appropriate Decision Point 4 (content area(s) and pedagogy) for licensure and graduation from the Ball State University Teacher Preparation program.
Notice: Because the State of Indiana
is in a testing transition, up until May 31st, 2014, students can choose from two testing options when deciding on how to meet the Decision Point 4 Testing Requirement. To best decide which option is best for you, navigate to your appropriate content area below and click on the link. The testing transition options impact each area differently, and the links below provide you with the appropriate information based on your major.
For registration, preparation information, and materials regarding the Pearson Content and Pedagogy Exams, please click here.
For candidates, who do not meet the alternative admission to teacher testing requirement, under Decision Point 2 in rGrade, passing scores on the CASA Reading, Writing and Mathematics tests are required. Ball State requires that students achieve a passing score on these tests or their alternatives prior to admission to the 300 level teacher education courses. These tests can be taken by appointment at the Testing Center on campus, or at various locations around the state.
