Jacob Yuichung Chan, Ph.D., CRC is currently an assistant professor of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services. He received his B.A. in Psychology (with a certificate in Criminal Justice), his M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, and his Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his pre-doctoral internship under the Wisconsin Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology. Dr. Chan is a member of the American Psychological Association (Div 17 & 22), the National Council on Rehabilitation Education, and the National Rehabilitation Association. In addition, Dr. Chan is a board member for the Indiana Rehabilitation Association. Dr. Chan has a broad interest in research, including areas in psychosocial aspects of chronic illness and disability, employment and vocational issues, evidence-based practice, positive psychology, international psychology, behavioral health, psychotherapy, counselor training, bullying and victimization, and program evaluation. Dr. Chan teaches courses in counseling theories, career theories, foundation of rehabilitation counseling, and internship supervision.
