Kristin Perrone McGovern, Ph.D., HSPP, LMHC is currently a Professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services at Ball State University. Dr. McGovern teaches and supervises the research and clinical practice of students in the APA-approved Counseling Psychology doctoral program and the CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (Psychology B.A.) and Virginia Commonwealth University (Counseling Psychology M.S. and Counseling Psychology Ph.D.). Her doctoral internship was completed in the counseling center at the University of Maryland. Dr. McGovern’s line of research has focused on work-family interface, gender roles, gifted adults, and life satisfaction. Dr. McGovern is interested in the intersection of counseling and neuropsychology. She is currently developing expertise in neuropsychological practice, assessment, and research. Other areas of clinical specialization for Dr. McGovern include couples and family counseling, career counseling, and assessment.
