Ball State offers competitive tuition rates. We encourage you to compare them with other graduate schools.

Basic per-credit-hour tuition rates for online and main-campus study is the same, but main-campus study requires additional fees for housing (if needed), as well as student services, health, and recreation.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides assistance with finding aid to be used for tuition, fees, and textbooks.

Graduate Assistantships

Main-campus students may also qualify for graduate assistantships. Assistantships may be available in the Department of Educational Psychology or other Ball State offices. Some assistantships are posted with Ball State's Career Center.

Assistantships provide a tuition waiver and a modest stipend. In addition to a full load of classes, graduate assistants work 10 to 20 hours each week on a variety of assignments.
