Student Teachers--Register now for Teacher Job Fair 2015

Interview sign-ups will take place Wednesday, April 29, 6 – 7:30 p.m.Interviews take place Thursday, April 30, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (as scheduled)You must be present both days.

How to register: Students can access your Cardinal Career Link accounts here , using a Ball State username and password to log in. Résumés can be uploaded under the Documents tab (First-time résumés added to Cardinal Career Link will be reviewed by staff at the Career Center, along with email feedback).

We know it can be difficult for student teachers to make it to campus during drop-in coaching hours (10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday), however appointments can be scheduled through Cardinal Career Link or by calling 765-285-1522. Email questions to the Career Center at

**Attention Student wishing to apply for Student Teaching in the Spring 2016 semester.**

All prospective candidates, who intend to student teach in the Spring 2016 academic semester, have NOT already attended an application meeting, AND have already passed Decision Point 2 (DP2), must attend the meeting below.  The meeting will consist of student teaching application procedures, as well as general information on frequently asked questions.  The meeting will last about 90 minutes.

Field Experiences 
OTES provides a responsible agency and administrative structure for moving practicums, participations and observations from a series of minimally related segments to a coordinated program of direct contacts with children, youth,teachers, and institutions.  

Student Teaching

OTES is the entity which organizes the placement of student teachers for Ball State University.  This includes the application process, the confirmation process, the assignment of placement, the assignment of university supervisor, and the coordination of the overall experience.

The licensing area of OTES serves as a liaison between BSU students obtaining an educational license and the state licensing agency in Indiana.

Testing Requirements
For licensure in Indiana all teachers are required to take the Pearson Content Test and the CASA Test.
