This program prepares candidates to teach students who require mild special education interventions to achieve their educational potential. Students who require mild interventions generally have problems in learning academic subjects due to learning and/or behavioral problems. This program prepares candidates to work with students from early elementary school through high school. The program includes many opportunities for field-based experiences in schools and agencies. This program requires a minimum of 126 credit hours and is located in the Department of Special Education. The introductory course for this program is SPCED 201.
