Dee Dee is a proud alum of Ball State's undergraduate program. She received her MFA in acting from UNC-Chapel Hill where she spent 3 years as a company member at PlayMakers Repertory Theatre. Some of her favorite roles at PlayMakers include Elizabeth "In The Next Room", Ruth "A Raisin in the Sun", and Montjoy "Henry VI". She has a great love of storytelling and teaching other to tell stories. She is a writer and activist and believes in the power of art to change the world, and to change the conversations that shape the world. While living in New York she worked with "Girl Be Heard", a non for profit organization that encouraged inner-city youth to write and perform their own socially conscience pieces. She is currently working on her own one woman show and hopes to debut it in the fall.
