Biography:
Robert E Dirden serves as Full-time Teaching Faculty, student designer advisor, designer and mentor for the Department of Theatre and Dance’s DTO program. Robert has been working as a costume designer and hair and makeup designer for 20 + years. This 2012-2013 school year will be his 4th year teaching Stage Makeup, Advanced Stage Makeup and Theatre 100 here at Ball State University. He is a graduate of Muncie Central high School and of Ball State University.
Robert’s Costume and Makeup Designs have been featured in recent Ball State productions of Into the Woods, The Full Monty, My Fair Lady, Camino Real, The Importance of Being Earnest, HAIR, and The Drowsy Chaperone.
Mr. Dirden has worked as a costume designer, wardrobe head, makeup designer, set designer, stage manager, wig master, and director for over 150 productions here at Ball State University, Indianapolis Opera, and Muncie Civic Theatre where he is currently the Costume Cordinator.
