Emily Rogge teaches acting courses and Introduction to Theatre. As an actor, director and movement director she has worked across the country and internationally for the past 15 years. Some of her most recent acting credits include Isabelle/Sabine in David Ives' adaptation of The Liar (Lantern Theater, Philly), Antigone in Oedipus at Colonus (Handcart Ensemble, NYC), Kate in Kiss Me, Kate! (PCPA Theaterfest, CA) and will be a principal vocalist in Beef & Boards' Christmas Show in December 2013. Her directing work includes Love's Fire: 7 Plays Inspired by 7 Shakesperean Sonnets, The Pajama Game, and Cabaret. All three productions were recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. In addition to teaching at Ball State University, Emily has taught at West Chester University in PA and Indiana Repertory Theatre's Summer Conservatory. She has served as a guest artist at multiple universities including Mary Baldwin College and Earlham College.
Special areas of focus include Commedia dell'Arte, clowning, improvisation, classical text, and physical traditions in performance. She has traveled to Seoul, South Korea for her clowning work and trained under Commedia master Antonio Fava at his International School for Commedia dell'Arte in Reggio Emilia, Italy from whom she holds a certificate of mastery.
