B.F.A. Acting Curriculum

Ball State University's B.F.A. Acting coursework focuses on the whole theatre artist, allowing the actor to train as a creator of new material, as well as an interpreter of existing material.

  • Teaching methodologies include Lecoq, Suzuki, Grotowski, Rodenberg, and Stanislavski.
  • Every year, we host internationally renowned distinguished guest artists.
  • The curriculum allows for exciting immersive learning and study abroad opportunities.
  • Students have numerous on-campus workshops with professional casting directors and other industry professionals throughout their four years of training.
  • The B.F.A. in Acting requires 85 credit hours. After completing these courses, students may choose two or three courses in advanced performance areas (to be determined by individual career goals).
