Secondary Education

The secondary education program prepares you to teach in senior high, junior high, and middle schools. You will complete general studies requirements, required courses in your subject area, and a series of professional education courses.For admission to Teaching Curriculum, you must have:

  • Earned grades of C or better in EDSE 150 and EDMU 205
  • Earned a minimum of 45 credit hours with an overall grade-point average of at least 3.0
  • completed all requirements for Decision Points 1 and 2 (refer to rGrade for list).

You must receive Admission to Teaching Curriculum before you may register for 300- or 400-level classes. To receive Admission to Teaching Curriculum contact the Advising Center in TC 206.
