This program is designed to serve teachers, psychologists, and other human service professionals throughout the nation who wish to acquire skills and knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). This program also is designed to meet the needs of part-time students, full-time students, currently employed professionals, non-traditional students, and career-changers, among others. Students can take the number of courses they feel is appropriate given their personal situation and ability to handle the coursework. Some students will take only one or two courses per semester, while others may be working full-time toward completing this certificate.
Participating students will be expected to complete a total of 15 semester hours to earn this certificate. The certificate requires completion of five specific courses, one of which is a three credit-hour practicum. The program will take approximately one year to 1 ½ years for full-time students to complete and is delivered entirely online. The primary objectives of this program focuses on students acquiring competencies in the following areas of ABA:
