Overview

Meridian Services has been meeting the behavioral health needs of adults, adolescents and children in East Central Indiana for more than 30 years. Originally incorporated in 1971, and designated a community mental health center in 1976, Meridian Services is a regional, private, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare system offering a range of inpatient and outpatient services. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and certified by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addictions.

Meridian Services is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members are residents of the communities served. Individuals are provided access to professional and confidential behavioral health, addictions, and supportive services which are necessary and appropriate, and provide positive outcomes.

Services are designed to help those experiencing anxiety and stress disorders, depression, anger control problems, child abuse or neglect, attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity disorders as well as those with a chemical dependency or serious mental illness. Often, persons who come to Meridian Services find that a significant change in their lives occurs with just a few appointments. For those with a more persistent and severe mental illness, specialized programs are offered to help people improve the quality of their lives, their dependence and their self-sufficiency in the community.
