Research Music
The Music Collection supports academic coursework in music, and
general interest reading. Books are classed as ML or MT in the Library of
Congress system, and are shelved in the Southwest section of the Lower Level of
Bracken Library. In addition, the Collection subscribes to the major
research journals in the areas of music history and music theory and several
searchable online databases.
When searching CardCat for books, specify
“books” as the format in Advanced Search.
Reference books are
located against the wall to the right of the counter. Online Reference and scholarly journals are
linked at the Libraries’ Databases Page.
MultiLink connects you
to full-text articles, CardCat searches, or Interlibrary loan request forms
depending on the item’s availability.
