Thanks to the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP), Ball State is now offering dramatically reduced tuition to academically qualified students from eight states in the Midwest.
This arrangement applies to legal residents of the following states:
-
Illinois
- Kansas
- Michigan
- Minnesota
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- North Dakota
- Ohio (beginning Summer 2018)
- Wisconsin
If eligible, students may attend Ball State and save over $11,500 per year ($47,000 total for a student graduating in four years) from our regular tuition rate for out-of-state students. The MSEP award reduces the total tuition for an out-of-state student to 150 percent of the tuition cost for an Indiana resident student.
Please note that students who qualify for any of the following scholarships are not eligible to receive both the MSEP award and the other scholarships/grants:
-
Presidential Scholarship
- Ball State Scholars Award
- Distinction Scholarship
- Impact Grant
- Opportunity Grant
- Beneficence Scholar Award
The student will receive the award that has the greatest value.
Also, since the MSEP award is tuition-specific, receipt of other tuition-specific scholarships may impact the amount of the award. This scholarship may only be applied to institutional charges.
All financial aid received when combined with MSEP cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.
Ball State will provide the MSEP benefit to a transfer student who has exhausted the four semesters of eligibility for the Academic Distinction Award and originally met the MSEP criteria.
