Health Requirements for Admission Health requirements for students at Ball State University exist primarily to protect the student body as a whole from infectious disease. Requirements are different for international students and domestic students (those from the United States). International graduate and undergraduate students must meet all the same health requirements as undergraduate domestic students and have an evaluation for tuberculosis (TB) performed in the United States. Either a TB skin test or a Quantiferon Gold blood test performed in the United States is acceptable. Testing will be offered as part of orientation prior to beginning classes. Each student will be charged for the TB test, and it will be billed to your bursar's account. Learn more about TB testing for international students. You will also need to have a preenrollment health examination. Download the Health History Form (PDF), fill out page 4 and send it to the health center.
