Transportation from Indianapolis Airport to Ball State University

There is daily bus service from Indianapolis International Airport to Ball State University provided by Hoosier Ride/Miller Trailways .

These buses leave from the Ground Transportation Center Zone 1 at the Indianapolis International Airport every day at 10:00 a.m. and at 4:25 p.m. and arrive to the Student Center at Ball State University at 12:40 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The tickets are $18.00 USD and can be purchased online on the Hoosier Ride webpage by using a credit card. Select Leaving From: “INDIANAPS ARPT (E), IN” and Going To: BALL ST UNIV (E), IN and then choose your date of departure.

You can also purchase tickets directly from the Hoosier Ride/Miller Trailways bus driver in U.S. dollars before the bus departs.

Please select the shuttle that best fits your schedule, allowing for at least one hour from estimated airport arrival time to shuttle departure for Muncie.

The airport's Ground Transportation Center (GTC) is located on Level 1 of the Parking Garage. Please follow these steps to reach the bus to Ball State outside of the Ground Transportation Center at the Indianapolis International Airport:

1. When you arrive at the airport, proceed to the Baggage Claim Area on the lower level to claim your checked baggage.

2. Exit the passenger terminal from Baggage Claim and take the crosswalk under the entrance to the Ground Transportation Center.

3. Exit the Ground Transportation Center and go to Zone 1. The Hoosier Ride/Miller Trailways but to Ball State will leave from Zone 1.
