Computer Costs

Federal regulations allow the cost of a computer to be added to your cost of attendance. You may do this one time during your enrollment at Ball State.

The additional cost can be paid for through federal or private loan programs. There are no specific grants or loan funds available for computer purchases.

To request an increase in your cost of attendance for the purchase of a computer, complete and submit a request form to our office.

If the cost of the computer exceeds $2,500, you must attach documentation detailing the cost. This documentation must include the required hardware and software, and an approval from the appropriate academic department indicating this is a departmental requirement.

Student Discounts
