Loan Counseling and Promissory Notes

If you receive a federal loan, you are required to complete loan entrance and exit counseling. 

  • Entrance counseling is required of all first-time borrowers before you can receive loan funds
  • Exit counseling is required of all federal loan borrowers, and will help you to establish your repayment provisions before leaving Ball State
  • Master promissory notes are required of all first-time Direct Loan borrowers
