Graduate Distance Education

As an graduate distance education student, you should be aware of the following:

  • Graduate students are not eligible for Federal or State grant programs (Pell Grant and/or O’Bannon/21st Century programs).
     
  • You must be enrolled at least half time (5 hours) to receive Stafford loan funding.  You may complete a Stafford loan application on-line. 

                    9+ hours is considered full-time 
                    7-8 hours is considered 3/4 time 
                    5-6 hours is considered 1/2 time 
                    <5 hours is considered less than 1/2 time
