Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) – Free for BSU students!
MITS provides traditional fixed route bus transportation within the Muncie city limits. Fifteen routes provide service to most shopping, medical, employment, residential, recreational, and governmental locations. Buses operate Monday through Saturday on all but six holidays.

Ball State Shuttle – Free for BSU students!
The Ball State University campus shuttle buses provide free, frequent service Sunday evening through Friday evening for students, employees, and visitors. Campus Shuttle Bus service is available during Fall and Spring semesters at these times: Every 5 to 10 minutes Monday through Thursday 7:15 am to 11:00 pm. Every 5 to 10 minutes on Fridays 7:15 am to 8:00 pm. Every 10 to 15 minutes on Sundays 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

PARKING
To park on campus, Ball State University requires you to register your vehicle and obtain a permit at the Office of Parking Services. The cost of the permit is determined by the type of permit you seek.

HISTORY 
Historic Muncie
The "Historic Muncie: Preserving Middletown's Neighborhoods" chronicles the history of Muncie, Indiana, through an interactive online museum detailing the historic districts of the town. This site serves as a research and educational resource for students, professors, citizens, tourists, and the general public. The website draws on pictures, video, and narrative to guide readers through the historic districts and architectural past of Muncie. While functioning primarily as a portal to the past, this site also aims to display the continuing struggle of preserving these historic areas within a town straining toward change.
