Welcome Week Orientation

On behalf of the Veterans Affairs Office, we want to congratulate you on your admission to Ball State University. You are joining an innovative and immersive community of learners and educators. Ball State University also is a community that takes great pride in the veterans and family members of veterans within its student population and the importance and worth of every individual.

In anticipation of your arrival to campus, faculty, staff and current student veterans annually plan a variety of activities and programs to facilitate your transition to Ball State and the city of Muncie. We believe that your involvement in this orientation experience will significantly ease your passage into Ball State and the student veteran community. We also hope that you might make a few friends along the way!

Last year, fellow student veterans and family members of veterans met the Student Veteran Organization (Ball State’s student leader organization for our veteran community). Immediately afterwards, attendees and family members went to Ball State’s Cardinal Lanes for free bowling and pizza!  Student Veteran Orientation Day for 2013 will take place on Saturday, August 17th at 2:00 p.m.!  To RSVP to our Welcome Week Orientation, please email Beck Hannaford at vetbenefits@bsu.edu.
