Logyn Maul fell in love with Ball State before her college search officially began. Several years ago, the senior fashion merchandising major attended a Summer Scholars Program to give high school students an early taste of life on campus.

The Indianapolis native has long enjoyed drawing and designing, which she started in fifth grade. And she was glad to find the fashion degree program she wanted close to home.

This is a place where professors are engaged with students and willing to invest in our success. The fashion program has provided real-world experience and faculty mentors who help me hone the skills I’ll need in my career.

Living in residence halls for her entire college career has kept Logyn close to everything, with no worries about commuting or parking. Her favorite thing about living on campus is the food—it is good, there are a variety of options, and her meal plan makes budgeting for food simple.

She is active in University Program Board, Student Voluntary Services, and the Fashion Merchandising Association. On top of all that, she recently founded Ladies with Aspirations, which helps college women chase their dreams while navigating the realities of adult life.

When she graduates, Logyn hopes to put her degree to work as a retail buyer or wardrobe stylist in the music industry.
