Admissions

Info for Admitted Students

Congratulations on your admission to Ball State! We’re excited to welcome you to our thriving academic and social community. Below is a list of important details you'll need to take care of before starting your first semester of college.

  1. Confirm your enrollment—If you haven't done so, return your Enrollment Confirmation Form (PDF) included in your admission packet, along with your $100 nonrefundable enrollment deposit, which will be applied to your first-semester fees.

  2. Obtain financial aid—Finish your search for financial aid and scholarships. In addition to our resources, check your high school guidance office, your local library, and the Web. Remember to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  3. Reserve your room—After confirming your enrollment, you may apply for housing online. You can request the kind of residence hall room you would like to have on campus, search for and request a roommate, and select a dining meal plan.

  4. Attend orientation—We'll send you an invitation to attend Orientation, a required program that will introduce you to Ball State’s vibrant campus life and tradition of innovation in teaching and learning. You'll register for classes and receive your Ball State ID.

  5. Get involved early—Go whitewater rafting or hiking, study abroad, learn leadership skills on campus, or help with a service project in the community. Sign up for our summer programs for new freshmen, and enjoy an experience you won't forget.

  6. Get moved in—As your first semester approaches, you'll receive details about moving to campus, including your hall assignment, roommate, and what to bring. If you're starting in the fall, get ready to have fun and make new friends during Welcome Week.

We look forward to seeing you at Ball State!
