What is Orientation, and why is it mandatory?

Orientation is a program all freshmen must attend prior to enrolling in classes at Ball State University. The two-day program runs in JuneĀ and July for students who will start in the fall. There is a program in December for students who start in the spring and a program in April for students who will start in the summer.

Orientation is an excellent opportunity for you to begin your academic career at Ball State. You will become familiar with the University Core Curriculum, the schedule of courses, and other important resources. Orientation is also an opportunity to build relationships with orientation leaders, other new students, and various faculty and administrators.
