Admissions

For Students Age 23 or Older

Ball State is committed to offering access to higher education for qualified adult students who are 23 years old or older. Applicants with previous college experience will be considered transfer students.

1. Review Ball State's admission requirements.

2. Complete and submit the university application for undergraduate admission and housing

3. Have your official high school transcript sent directly from your high school to the Office of Admissions. If you are a GED recipient, an official score report must be sent directly from the testing center to our office.

4. SAT or ACT scores may not be required. However, if you have taken either test, please submit the scores to the Office of Admissions.

5. Complete and submit a one-page applicant statement describing the circumstances that affected your academic performance and/or course selection. Outline what you have done since high school graduation or receipt of a GED.

6. Submit a nonrefundable $50 application fee. For online applications, you may pay by a major credit card or an electronic check (ACH) payment. If applying by mail, make checks payable to Ball State University.
