Find out why Ball State’s introductory history course emphasizes problems, turning points and recurring themes that focus on the way global interactions helped to shape western cultures. Dr. Abel Alves will facilitate a discussion of how processes of globalization long predate the twenty-first century, and how the interaction of multiple cultural traditions shape who we are today.
Douglas Droste, director of orchestras, leads this all-student ensemble in a program to include works by Christopher Theofanidis (Rainbow Body), Allessandro Marcello (Oboe Concerto in D minor - Lisa Kozenko, soloist), and Igor Stravinsky (Rite of Spring). Tickets available through the Emens Auditorium Box Office.
