Max Blakeley will give a presentation on his country of origin, England! England is the largest country in the United Kingdom. Scotland, Wales, the Celtic Sea, the Irish Sea, North Sea, and English Channel border England. The capital of England is London. England’s main exports are manufactured goods, road vehicles, chemicals, fuel, tobacco, food and beverages.
Three guest artists will present a chamber music recital (viola, clarinet, and piano) followed by a master class. Recital program to include works by Max Bruch, Paul Juon, and Carl Reinecke. Free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Amelia Kaplan and Chin Ting (Patrick) Chan, the Ball State New Music Ensemble presents "Museum Pieces" at the David Owsley Museum of Art's sculpture court. The program will include music inspired by art in the museum's collection from various eras and cultures. A welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. Free and open to the public.
Ball State's top two band ensembles present a series of concerts each year featuring a wide range of band repertoire. Thomas Caneva and Caroline Hand conduct the ensembles. Tickets available through the Emens Auditorium Box Office.
