Eric Conrad: "Mix-Ups" is an exhibition of recent work by Kansas-based Eric Conrad. "Mix-Ups" will present a series of figurative sculptures that incorporate hand-woven fabric, found clothing, and various other materials. In Conrad’s sculptures, heaps of figures are mixed-up, entangled and forced into co-dependent communities, fragile structures where there is potential for reconciliation and collapse. Born in Toronto, Conrad received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. He lives and works in Lawrence, Kansas and is an Associate Professor of Art at Emporia State University.
