Cellist Melissa Kraut is on faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music and teaches at the Meadowmount School of Music in the summer. She has studied with Alan Harris and Hans-Jorgen Jensen; additional studies and masterclasses with Aldo Parisot, Frank Miller, Yo-Yo Ma, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and David Soyer. Dr. Kraut has participated in a number of music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Banff Center for the Arts, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Europe. In addition, she maintains an active performance career and has played under conductors such as Sir Georg Solti, Valery Gergiev, and Semyon Bychkov.
