Stephen Price, instructor of organ, will present a recital at College Avenue United Methodist Church. The program will cover music from the 17th to 20th centuries, featuring works by Scheidemann, J.S. Bach, Mendelssohn, Gawthrop, Wammes, and Eben.

Special program notes: 2019 will celebrate the 90th birth year of Petr Eben (1929-2007). Eben was a Czech composer and holocaust survivor who made a profound impact on 20th century music. Daniel Gawthrop (b.1949) is a native Hoosier from Fort Wayne, who in fact attended a summer music camp at Ball State University in his formal years. Gawthrop is currently a widely celebrated composer of various choral and organ works.
