Bill Fitzgerlad, PhD is a staff therapist who also works in the Office of Health, Alcohol, and Drug Education conducting substance abuse assessments. He completed his doctorate in counseling psychology in 2011 at Western Michigan University after completing a pre-doctoral internship at Miami University in Ohio. In addition to this, he has completed a graduate certificate in holistic health and draws heavily on this background when working with clients. Clinical interests include the application of mindfulness to daily living, substance use and abuse, working with veterans, exploring the role of spirituality in well-being, personal growth, multiculturalism, and assisting clients to achieve their potential to live life in healthy ways. He also provides training in these areas and supervision that is based on a collaborative model.
